A fire broke out near Saba Saba, Majengo area along Jomo Kenyatta Avenue in Mombasa on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.
A video of the raging inferno was first shared by Daily Nation, fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established, with emergency personnel actively successful in battling the inferno and finally managing to put it out.
According to Radio Jambo, the fire broke out at Minna Hardware, located along the busy street.
The incident comes months after another fire engulfed Coast General Hospital.
Activities were halted for more than 30 minutes at the hospital in Mombasa County on Monday, November 11, following the fire that was caused by an electrical mishap.
Mombasa County health executive Hazel Koitaba, said that the fire started as a result of raindrops splashing onto the electricity circuit board at the changing room in the hospital's administration block.
He added that immediately after the sparks were detected, the management alerted the firefighters who contained the situation.
