Kabogo Steals Show With Armoured Vehicle at BBI Rally [PHOTOS]

Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo attended the Building Bridges Initiative rally in Meru County on Saturday, February 29 in style, making a stormy arrival using his armoured vehicle, an Iveco LMV.

According to photos posted on his Facebook page, Kabogo arrived in the vehicle that was fully branded with the Kenyan flag and BBI insignia, to the amazement of the rally attendees.

On reaching Kinoru Stadium, Kabogo took to greeting the already charmed crowd from the top part of his vehicle that had drawn their attention.

In April 2017, Kabogo unleashed the armoured vehicle during President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit to Kiambu County.

Kabogo would later be joined by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko in the campaigns in August 2016, where they both brought the crowd to a standstill with the high-end vehicles.

On Wednesday, February 26, Kabogo promised to attend the BBI rally in Meru stating that it would be his first rally to attend as a way of lobbying support for the report.

Speaking during an interview at Kameme TV, Kabogo indicated that it would be wise for the leaders in the region to use the chance in championing the agendas of the region to the report formulation committee.

Kabogo also urged leaders to wade away from divisive politics in the run for the report’s passing and implementation.

The vehicle is mostly used to provide security to VIPs and it can withstand a number of attacks including improvised explosives.

It is estimated to cost around Ksh20 million and is sold by Iveco Company Limited that announced the resumption of sales in Kenya after quitting in 2007.

The Light Multirole Vehicle is developed by Italian industrial vehicle manufacturer Iveco (Industrial Vehicles Corporation).
