Kiss FM radio presenter Carol Radull has, for the first time, spoken about her divorce to Mike Njiru.

Speaking to K24 TV's Betty Kyallo on Weekend With Betty on March 20, Radull stated that she and her husband broke up in 2016 after a seven-year marriage.

Radul stated that it is during the last year before they went separate ways that the marriage turned sour.

“It was great six years and then one year was a bit rough but having been in the institution of marriage, it is not something you easily jump into, again,” she stated.

Further, the radio presenter explained that experiencing a divorce is not easy.

"People need to understand that divorces are never easy. You don’t wake up and decide this relationship is irretrievable, I’m getting a divorce.

"It is not a cheap decision that you would easily make. You give it a lot of thought and even after making the decision, the aftermath is not easy to handle," Radull told Betty.

“Beat yourself up, and if you’re lucky enough to find happiness in somebody else, maybe that was the person meant for you," she added.

Though the sports journalist did not want to talk much about her ex-husband, she praised him for being a good and supportive man throughout their marriage.

“I believe he was a good man, and I was in love with him when we were married.

“However, things changed. People grow apart for whichever reason. Maybe he was just not meant to be the one. Marriage taught me a lot, and one of the key lessons is: if the relationship is not working, do not force it," she stated.
