He becomes the second Kenyan Covid-19 death recorded by the media after Engineer Maurice Barasa Namiinda succumbed to the disease on Thursday, March 26.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement that the man died at the Aga Khan Intensive Care Unit in the afternoon.

"The man, who was suffering from diabetes, had arrived in the country on March 13 from South Africa via Swaziland."

With two Kenyan men now dead it continues the trend around the world where more men have succumbed to the virus compared to women.
