The late Mzee John Michuki (1932-2012) was known to be an astute politician and businessman who started life in the political limelight in 1957 till towards the end of his life.

While he was known as a no-nonsense man, especially during his tenure as Transport Minister, little was known about his family.

Yvonne Wanja Michuki is Mzee Michuki's youngest daughter, and arguably the most vocal of his six children.

She is the Managing Director of Be Bold Consulting and Advisory Limited, an independent financial consulting and executive coaching firm based in Nairobi.

The company, at its heights, was featured in the Food and Wine Magazine, Fancy Food and Culinary Products, and the Fresh Cup Magazine and was also interviewed by the Tea Room Guide and the Tea Association of US.

She later landed a job with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Kenya, where she worked as a trade, investment and multi-lateral diplomat between September 2009 and March 2014.

Wanja is at the moment well known for her Facebook page Soul Chats with Wanja where she addresses various issues including family, finances, relationships and fulfilment.
