Milele FM presenter Felix Odiwuor popularly known as Jalang'o has been forced to shelve an interview with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho over an urgent State House meeting.

In an update posted on Twitter, the outspoken presenter-comedian announced that he was prepping for a live show on Facebook and YouTube but President Uhuru Kenyatta's plans invalidated his at the last minute.

He further disclosed that the meeting was urgent and that he was forced to postpone his interview with Joho to an undisclosed date.

The event was supposed to kick off on Sunday, April 26, at exactly 1 p.m.

"An urgent meeting at the Office of the President got our live [broadcast] with Boss [Governor Joho] cancelled... He promises to be with us soon...we will, unfortunately, push our live with Joho to a later date... Keep it here!" He shared.

He further hinted that he would be celebrating in a grand way noting that April 27 was his birthday.

The radio presenter was scheduled to host the self-proclaimed Sultan of Mombasa on his popular online programme Bonga na Jalas.

The programme is powered by Safaricom PLC and was expected to be aired live on Jalang'o's Facebook page as well as that of the Mombasa Governor.

This came roughly a day after the president was spotted at the offices of Mediamax Network Limited, which owns radio, print and television operations including K24, People Daily and Milele FM that Jalang'o works for.

Uhuru reportedly made his way into the DSM Place headquarters of the company on Nairobi's Kijabe Street in his black Mercedes G-Wagon. He was trailed by at least three Toyota land cruisers, with staff members revealing that he arrived at around 6.30 p.m.

A source told Kenyans.co.ke on condition of anonymity, that Uhuru joined a board meeting as it neared its conclusion, with the meeting primarily discussing the dramatic events at the company that hit the headlines in recent weeks.

Prior to that, the bromance of Uhuru and Joho was seemingly shaping up after he invited the governor alongside Kwale's Salim Mvurya and Kilifi's Amason Kingi.

In the event, the president prevented an attempt by one of the State House officials to issue a lone microphone to Governor Ali Hassan Joho and directed that he addresses the nation from the presidential podium.
