Switch TV Anchor Quits to Join International Media House

Switch TV news anchor Nick Mudimba on Thursday, April 30, announced that he would be leaving the media house.

The celebrated journalist thanked his bosses for giving him the opportunity to serve at the station and grow in his career.

''Thank you Switch TV Kenya team! Years of great shows and amazing growth! Last show. On to the next assignment," he wrote on his Twitter page.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Mudimba disclosed that he is headed to an international media house but declined to disclose its identity. 

"I'm headed to an international media house, I won't disclose the finer details for now but yes, I will start the job on Monday," he told our newsdesk.

Mudimba joined Switch TV in 2018 where he was a news anchor as well as hosted shows like Switch Focus, Switch 168 and sports shows.

Previously, the award-winning journalist worked with KTN, Supersport and Africa Bamba Sport.

The media house has lost some of its presenters including; Grace Msalame, Remmy Majala to other stations while others like Noni Gathoni and Jackie Matubia were fired.

In February 2020, the channel launched new programming, fresh content, welcomed new personalities on-air and revamped existing shows to remain competitive in the broadcasting space.

Switch TV also announced the launch of new programmes such as the Quiz Show, Blind Date, Decoded, Icons, Fashion Street and fresh episodes of Onstage.
