Celebrated Maria series actor Luwi Hausa, formally known as Brian Ogana, has broken his silence after being accused of running a con syndicate.

A local blog, on June 11, published a thread of message evidence of a transaction between the actor and an unnamed woman who was allegedly conned Ksh172,000 to provide 'a service' that was never fulfilled.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the actor, however, refuted the claim of running the con syndicate, noting that he was engaged in a healthy business partnership with his fiance.

He has also pointed a finger at one of his ex-lovers, whom he is accusing of being behind the disparaging report just days after he revealed that his social media accounts had been hacked.

"I did flag out at one point that my account had been hacked and discredited any message that was sent out there. It’s both Facebook and Instagram. I strongly believe it’s one of my exes whose gone the whole hog.

"On the money, we are in a business partnership with my fiancé. She’s the one who sent me the cash since it’s a 50/50 partnership. We have even a partnership agreement," stated the actor.

To prove his case he proceeded to share screenshots of his transaction with the fiancée for a business the two run together.

He further noted that a lawyer was involved in their transaction in which two batches of disbursements, Ksh170,000 and another Ksh120,000, were sent to him.

Ogana's fiancée corroborated his story noting that the two, who were to contribute 50/50 for the suit business that is currently running incurred extra costs that demanded them to dig deeper into their pockets.

"It was supposed to be 50/50 and the business cost was Ksh500,000. The business is a suit shop. Each one of us was supposed to contribute Ksh250,000 but business sometimes cannot run on whatever you have a plan because somethings come up and you have to add some amount.

The costs that came up were supposed to be shared too, I sent almost Ksh300,000," stated the fiancé.

The earlier report claimed that the money had been wired to Ogana's account by a woman from abroad in exchange for a 'memorable' experience.
