Raiding rival media houses to snatch up talent is not uncommon in the Kenyan industry, with several household names known to have moved across major rivals.

Citizen TV, renowned for hiring the best talent in the market, bolstered its news line up by poaching Trevor Ombija from NTV and Zindzi Kibiku from KTN, in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

In July 2019, Media personality Anne Kiguta made her comeback on television screens after leaving Citizen TV, when she appeared on K24 where she currently hosts the hard-hitting Punchline Show.

At the time, she joined Betty Kyallo- (recently quit), who was poached from KTN  and Rose Gakuo who was snapped up from KBC.
