UPDATE: July 3: Four suspects were arraigned at Milimani Law Courts and charged with robbery with violence.

Ibrahim Abdi Hussein who was found in possession of the laptop and mobile phones robbed from the victim was charged with an alternative count of handling stolen property.

Four suspects connected with a robbery incident captured on camera along Lenana Road on June 25, were arrested by DCI detectives based at Kilimani on June 29 who recovered two cell phones, a laptop and a pocket knife.

The four were tracked down to their hideouts in Kawangware, Gatina and Pangani.

They were identified as 27-year-old Timothy Jahan Muzami alias Timo who was captured on camera hitting the victim with a firearm on the forehead, Humphrey Minyata alias Daddy aged 23 years who was captured pointing the victim with a sharp knife, Mary Wambui aged 23 years old who is believed to be an accomplice who was harbouring the gang in her house at Pangani and Ali Musa alias Ally aged 26 years old who was arrested during the operation and believed to be an associate of the gang.

Kilimani Police are reviewing a CCTV footage which was circulated online, on Thursday morning, June 25, showing a well-suited man being robbed at gunpoint by two thugs.

When contacted by Kenyans.co.ke, Kilimani OCPD Lucas Ogara stated that investigations are underway to apprehend the criminals even though there is still no written statement filed at the police station.

The man, who was walking on the roadside carrying a black backpack, was ambushed by two men who could not easily be identified as they were wearing hoodies.

One of the thugs was armed with a gun while the other had a knife.

Despite the man being composed and not showing any kind of resistance, one of the thugs hit him to the side of his head with the gun while the other pointed a knife to his chest.

The heinous activity took about seven seconds and the duo managed to steal the man's backpack and mobile phone before they took to their heels.

The then thugs then turned and threatened a security officer who was near the scene of the incident.

The daylight robbery left many Kenyans online surprised.

"Some security guards are just bystanders honestly," William Masinga stated.

"If you were the security guy, will you face two gun holders with a rungu?" Obao asked.

"I feel for this guy. I am so sorry man. At least they didn't harm you," Leonard Wanjiku weighed in.

Others called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to probe the incident.

Just early this month, CCTV footage exposed two women stealing food from a supermarket in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu.
