Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi on Sunday, July 12, lashed out at Kakamega County Commissioner Pauline Dola in a spirited rant claiming she was using President Uhuru's Kenyatta's name to frustrate him.

Mudavadi was speaking in Lugari, Kakamega as he claimed that a number of his gatherings have been blocked by the county bosses who cite orders from Uhuru.

"Here the police are saying 'we have orders from above', no, you are misusing the name of the President, the president has not directed that Musalia be blocked from going to Vihiga or Kakamega," he explained

"When they lobbed teargas in Malulu's home, I personally called Matiang'i and I told him 'is this the new policy or what is it?' he was shocked and said that did not originate from his office.," Mudavadi stated.

He observed that the said orders were originating from the County Commissioner's office in Kakamega as directed by the county governor.

He added that the Office of the president was very clear and all his gatherings had adhered to the Ministry of Health's Covid-19 guidelines.

The former Vice-President of Kenya also claimed that goons were hired to vandalise the Ford Kenya Party offices in Nairobi on Sunday, July 12.

He also noted that Ford Kenya and ANC were being targeted by the attacks because they had declared their interest in the 2022 General Elections.

He questioned why KANU, NARC and Wiper and ODM and Jubilee Part were not being attacked referencing the torching of ANC officers on Monday, June 29

Mudavadi called on Governors in the region to focus on ensuring development in the Western region as the government had allocated a budget to all counties.

He slammed leaders meeting Uhuru to ask him to bring development in the region despite being handed a budget by the devolved government.
