Speaking at the opening plenary session, the founder of Fearless Summit, Pastor Muriithi Wanjau, noted that as much as the world was faced with a tragedy, the church was better placed to provide societal change and transformation.

“The entire world is experiencing it’s biggest crisis since the Second World War, yet in every crisis there is an opportunity for change. As the church, we are mandated to be at the centre of societal change and transformation. This can be done by intentionally providing relief support to those who are in crisis.

"Then moving from crisis management to helping people support themselves in the new normal and then moving from sustainability to long-term God-centred societal change," stated Wanjau.

The event was graced by celebrated Kenyan trailblazers including Churchill Show founder Daniel Ndambuki, Dr Bitange Ndemo, Kanjii Mbugua and Tolu Adelowo from Nigeria among others.

Speaking on the Future of Work under the Business and Economics sector, Ndemo said, “Any career which has repetitive work will in the future be replaced by robots. To maintain your career, you need to unlearn and learn your skills to remain relevant.”

He also urged citizens to stop complaining about the government. “What have you done to improve the unemployment situation in the country? We should each take responsibility for our children not having jobs and endeavour to create employment," he posed.

Ndambuki, on the other hand, encouraged artists to create platforms that would bring aboard more artists to give them visibility and build their brands.

“Your platform is not just for you. It is for you to lift others up as you were lifted,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Dr Aghan Oscar shared on how he was improving the environment by turning plastic waste into affordable building materials such as roofing tiles and building blocks.

Gospel sensations Mercy Masika, Eunice Njeri, Noel Nderitu, Charles Rigga, Joel Maluki and Laura Karwirwa graced the event among others.
