Interior CS Fred Matiang'i on Wednesday, August 19, made made several changes to the State Department of Interior and Citizen Services 

In a press release seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the CS announced that the changes would take effect immediately

Moffat Kangi was appointed as the new Principal Administrative with Wilson Njega named as the Secretary Internal Security.

Nairobi Regional Police Commanders Wilson Njenga and his Western Region counterpart Anne Ngetich were transferred to Office of the President Headquarters.

CS Matiang'i explained that the reshuffle was done after a consultation with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Officer James Kianda was transferred from his previous posting as Nyanza Commander to the Nairobi Region.

Appointment of Regional Commissioners

Magu Mutindika appointed as Regional Commissioner Nyanza Region.

Esther Maina appointed as Regional Commissioner Western Region.

Joshua Nkanatha from Kajiado to Marsabit County.

Evans Achoki from Marsabit to Kajiado County.

Michael N. Tialal from Siaya to Garissa County.

Stephen Kihara from Kisii to Uasin Gishu County.

Mwangi Meru from Garissa to Narok County.

George Omoding from Bomet to Kakamega County.

Samuel Kimiti from Narok to Bungoma County.

Olaha Kutswa from Nandi to Kilifi County.

Boaz Cherutich from Nyandarua to Migori County.

Abdiritzak Jaldesa from Uasin Gishu to Kisii County.

David Kipkemei from Homa Bay to Office of the President Headquarters.

Joseph Rotich from Migori to PA/RC Nyanza.

Fredrick Ndunga as County Commissioner Machakos.

Paul Rotich as County Commissioner Siaya.

Mathias Mbogai Rioba as County Commissioner Tana River.

Moses K. Lilan as County Commissioner Homa Bay.

Benson David Leparmorijo as County Commissioner Nyandarua.

Josephine Ouko as County Commissioner Bomet.

CS Matiang'i further announced that he had transferred various 98 Deputy County Commissioners (DCC) to various stations and appointed 84 new DCCs.
