Mike Karash is a budding online comedian whose video of a mock CNN interview has cast him into the limelight.
In a sit down with YouTuber Jeff Kuria on Saturday, August 29, he stated that he had been making comical videos for a year but they hadn't received much attention as the mock interview.

He used three applications to edit the mock interview which took him about three hours.
"Looking for an interview were the reporter wasn't referring to the guest by name was a huge task," the journalism student explained.
He stated that the school closure of school had given him time to work on material for his comedy.
"My mother believed that I had been featured on CNN and even criticised me for speaking broken English on an international platform. After the video went viral she came to realise that the poor English was part of the comedy" he stated.
"I want to give Kenyan comedy a fresh vibe. We have grown used to ethinically inspired jokes which don't work anymore," Mike added.
Over the years, the advancement in technology has made it easier for talented comedians to get recognition from their work.
With a good mobile phone and simple applications one can script, shoot and edit comedy skits and share on social media for fans to access, unlike in the past when comedians relied on media stations to share content.
The penetration of the internet to remote areas and affordability of data has made it possible to reach millions of Kenyans at the click of a button.
Advertisers have also taken advantage of this to promote products in collaboration with content creators who infuence their followers and fans to consume their products.
Jalang'o who was ranked Kenya's number one influencer by GeoPoll, revealed how he makes over Ksh3 million every month from online advertising.
