The social media has been littered with reports that Agriculture CS Peter Munya might be building a mansion in his home area of Meru.
The claims were triggered after a video posted on Twitter showed CS Munya landing in a yellow chopper and being given a tour of the house.
Kenyans.co.ke has reliably learned that the house does not belong to the former Meru governor, but is owned by East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Mpuru Aburi.

In the video, the MP was seen showing Munya a spacious room which he mistook for a masterbedroom, but Aburi stated that it was a presidential suite, one which the CS could use.
"Hii ni room yako ukikuja, presidential (You can have this room when you're here it's presidential). Hata hii bath tub ni yako (Even the bathtub is yours to use)," the MP stated, which made Kenyans think the house belongs to the CS.
The mansion attracted a wide range of comments online, including former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo. The online discussion attracted the attention of Aburi, who came out to clarify the misleading reports.
" A perfect case of pathetic obsession with pettiness by busybodies living in the mentality of poverty and retrogression.This is not CS Peter Munya's house, but my own House at Mikinduri, where I hosted CS on Saturday (September 5)," Aburi tweeted.
The house had prominent features like a huge glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling, a wooded spiral staircase that leads up to the presidential suit.
The mansion also dons wooden decorations with engraved patterns placed strategically.
Aburi also prides himself in having a fountain inside the house fit for a king.
The EALA MP is close friend of ODM leader Raila Odinga and often refers to himself as the opposition leader's son.
Aburi and Odinga bare a striking resemblance, with Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi one time admitting that he often confused Aburi for a member of Raila's community.
