With the reduction of Covid-19 cases across the country, IEBC appears ready to conduct the by-elections.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa stated that Ruto was also asserting himself as the deputy party leader.

"The deputy president will also inspect the party documents and records," he added.

The DP was accompanied by Jubilee Deputy Secretary General Caleb Kositany and Lang'ata MP Nixon Korir.

Ruto and his allies had resolved to open a new centre of operations called the Jubilee Asili Centre after they were reportedly blocked from accessing the party's Pangani's HQ.

The new centre was said to be the brainchild of the Lang’ata MP.

Jubilee Chairman David Murathe and Secretary-General Raphael Tuju have been at loggerheads with the DP's team over the running of the party.

The two party generals have been accused of managing the Jubilee Party like their personal property and leading to the loss of funds.

Tuju's deputy has been vocal about going for the secretary general's seat once the party holds its grassroot elections.
