Term three for the mentioned classes would start on January 4, 2021 and end on March 19, 2021, a period of 11 weeks.

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) would then begin on March 22, 2021 and end March 24, 2021.

On the other hand, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) would begin on March 25, 2021 to April 4, 2021, a period of three weeks and two days.

Marking would then commence on April 19, 2021 until May 7, 2021, a period of three weeks.

The ministry confirmed that the government had already met the full costs of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations for all candidates.

In the statement, Magoha announced that schools will be required to strictly adhere to Covid-19 protocols and guidelines among them; use of face masks, monitoring of body temperature for all learners and all other persons accessing the schools, handwashing and observance of high levels of hygiene.

Though social distancing would remain a challenge, the Ministry warned that no children should be kept away from school.

The Ministry stated that all schools that had been designated as quarantine centers had already been fumigated.

All teachers were encouraged to continuously provide psychosocial and spiritual support to learners and school support staff during the duration of the current pandemic.
