Police have launched a manhunt on a suspect who audaciously sought to fulfill his urge of smoking bhang outside the gate of a police station in Kericho County.
The suspect, believed to be a male youth, dared to tug on superman's cape as he lit the roll of bhang and began blowing puffs of smoke in the air.
The suspect, donning a black shirt and trousers, had pulled his facemask to his chain as he carried on with his pleasure.
County Police Commander Silas Gichunge stated that police officers are determined to bring the suspect and his counterpart to book owing to the fact they made a mockery of the station.
"We must bring the suspect and the accomplice to book. Their sheer audacity is unacceptable. The fight against drug and alcohol abuse is on," he said.
The law currently dictates that traffickers be fined Ksh1 million, or three times the market value of the drug coupled with life imprisonment. Recently, Mps had sought to amend the law for the perpetrators to pay Ksh 250,000 fine if caught smoking the drug in addition to being charged with possession of the narcotic.
Various instances caught on camera have revealed daring stunts performed by youths in a bid to secure their 15 seconds of fame.
The men in uniform however have not been spared as they also have been caught on camera engaging in dangerous stunts.
Most recently, footage emerged of a police officer hanging on a moving truck in broad daylight. Initial reports claim that the person who recorded the incident heard him arguing with the driver.
In the footage, the officer dressed in the new uniform can be seen hanging on the driver's door with his feet loosely planted on the ramp steps mounted on the heavy-duty truck.
