NTV's Amina Abdi Undergoes Surgery
NTV presenter Amina Abdi disclosed that she underwent surgery and won't be on air for a period of time.
Amina posted the update on her social media pages on Friday, November 6, the same day she hosts the TV show.
The former Capital FM radio presenter nonetheless did not reveal her illness nor the type of surgery she underwent.
The Trend show host responded to a group of her followers who were curious about her well being.
"I had surgery a couple of days ago and I thought that I would be better. However, I am even in more pain. That is part of life anyways," she posted.
She further requested for prayers from her followers and well-wishers.
Kenyans were quick to pray for her quick recovery, from her colleagues to other celebrities and her fans.
"My prayers come your way. Get well soon," former NTV presenter Cate Rira responded.
Amina quit Capital FM in October 2020, with insiders at the radio station disclosing that the media personality had tendered her resignation a month ago.
Her former co-host, Fareed Khimani, confirmed that Amina left the station during one of his morning shows.
Reports alleged that Amina left for a couple of reasons, the major one being the extension of salary cuts for another three months at the radio station.
The renowned personality also reportedly wanted more time to take care of her son.
