19 Die as Covid-19 Cases Hit 75,193

Kenya has recorded 1,048 additional Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours from a sample of 8,660 tests. 

According to a statement signed by Ministry of Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on Friday, November 20, Kenya's total Covid-19 cases stood at 75,193. 

From the cases, 1,018 are Kenyans and 30 are foreigners.

594 are males while 454 are females. The youngest is a one-year-old baby while the oldest is 90. 

Unfortunately, 19 patients have succumbed to the disease, bringing the national fatality to 1,349. 

326 patients have recovered from the virus, 219 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 107 have been discharged from various hospitals. The total recoveries now stand at 50,984.

There are 1,114 patients admitted in various hospitals countrywide, while 6,332 are on Home-Based Care. 

52 patients are in the ICU, 28 of whom are on ventilatory support and 24 on supplemental oxygen. 

Another 71 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen out of whom 70 are in the general wards, while one is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

Nairobi leads with 408, Kericho 84, Mombasa 80, Kiambu 71, Busia 52, Migori 36, Uasin Gishu 35, Kisumu 25, Machakos25, Kajiado 23, Siaya 18, Bungoma 15, Nakuru 13, Kakamega 14, Taita Taveta 12, Bomet 11, Makueni 11, Nyeri 11, Kilifi 10, Laikipia 10, Baringo 9, Nandi 9, Kwale 9, Meru 8, Vihiga 6, Murang'a 5, West Pokot 5, Mandera 5, Kitui 5, Kirinyaga 4, Trans Nzoia 3, Embu 3, Elgeyo Marakwet 2, Narok 2, Tharaka Nithi 2, Garissa 2, Tana River 2, Homa Bay 1, Turkana 1 and Nyamira 1. 

In Nairobi, the 408 cases are from Langata 83, Westlands 44, Dagoretti North 32, Starehe 30, Kamukunji 28, Makadara 24, Dagoretti South 22, Ruaka 21, Embakasi Central 19, Kibra 18, Mathare 17, Embakasi North 12, Embakasi East 9 and Kasarani 7.
