Police Officer, Wife Found Dead Inside Their Home

A police officer and his wife were found dead inside their house within Lunga Lunga police station, Kwale County on Sunday, December 6.

Police reports indicated that the bodies of officer Tonik Oloo and his wife Lucy Atieno had gunshot wounds. 

“The officer and his wife were found dead lying in a pool of blood,” part of the police report stated.

The report further stated that the incident occurred early morning at around 4 am.

Police officers retrieved a Ceska pistol and three cartridges of 9mm bullets. 

Meanwhile, the police have launched investigations to probe into the matter to establish whether it was a murder or suicide.

Both bodies were taken to Kinango Hospital Mortuary.

Recently, a police constable, on Friday, October 23, was also found dead at his home in Garden Estate, Nyahururu County.

Police officers found the deceased kneeling beside his bed with a rope tightly tied to his neck.

The wife, who was in the house at the time, was taken in for questioning. She maintained that her husband had committed suicide.

The matter is still under investigation.
