A woman went viral after she alleged that she had been assaulted by an attendant at Ena Coach at their offices in Afya Centre, Nairobi County.
Kemunto Nyakundi lamented that she was slapped when she visited the offices to complain that her package had not been received by her client.
The complainant stated that she had made several calls to the company prior to her visit, but she did not receive any help.
"I was demanding to know where the parcel was. My patience had run out. I felt like my client was thinking that I was also playing games... Only to be shoved out of their office and get slapped by one of the attendants," she narrated.
Her statement caused an uproar on social media, with some of the netizens condemning the service provider for questionable conduct by their employees.
"Ena coach should be sanctioned, it behaved as if the services are free. No etiquette while serving their customers. It is high time Kenyans stood firm to ensure such transport companies are looked upon," Machuma Dismas stated.
"Your staff at Afya Centre is very rude, they lack basic courtesy and customer relations, train your staff on customer services and PR," Osano Innocent lamented.
Ena coach has since issued an apology to Kemunto as well as other clients who may have been harassed by their attendants.
"As a company, we value our customers and we cannot tolerate such behaviour because it is against the company's Code of Conduct," the company noted in part.
Further, they stated that the staff involved in the scuffle undergo re-training before getting back to work.
"We do apologise to everybody who felt offended by this act and we will continue to value your feedback."
