Citizen TV anchor Yvonne Okwara on Friday, February 26, shared behind the scenes videos of how her Newsgang show is produced and directed.
In one of the videos, Director of Strategy and Innovation Linus Kaikai and reporter Francis Gachuri could be seen distracting the sports anchor.
Mukami Wambora was reading the evening sports news from the teleprompter as Kaikai and Gachuri made faces, gestured and made the firirida dance in studio.
The duo, alongside a producer, were in happy moods prior to appearing in the Newsgang show as panellists alongside Citizen TV's Editorial Director, Joe Ageyo.
"It's a wonder how Mukami can keep a straight face with these clowns in the studio," Okwara captioned her video.
Kaikai and Gachuri, later on, tried to communicate in sign language, seemingly imitating interpreter Youla Nzale. Okwara and Ageyo laughed at the duo's attempt to use gestures, facial expressions and other lexicons to convey meaning.
Okwara also introduced Nzale and praised her skills and passion for her job. The sign language interpreter said that she was at times astounded by followers who thought that she was disabled.
"This is the lady everyone loves. Her name is Youla Nzale. She is a professional designer too and is engaged. Nzale speaks too," Okwara said.
"Hey, guys. Thank you for watching Citizen TV. People wonder whether I speak. I do get that a lot," Nzale responded as her colleagues broke into laughter.
Other directors and cameramen who shoot and produce the show also introduced themselves to Okwara's followers.
During the show, Okwara and her panellists discuss a wide range of issues with politics being given the top priority. They also close the discussion with four-minute opinion narratives dubbed kickers.
