Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga has sent home his security guards and drivers as a precaution over fears of contracting Covid-19.

The governor on Friday, March 19, said the measures would protect him and his family after one of his bodyguards tested positive for virus.

Rasanga had received a Covid-19 vaccine jab at his home in Segere Village, Siaya County.

“I would rather drive myself than risk catching Covid-19 from a driver who, maybe, is a virus carrier," said Rasanga.
