Former Kiss 100 Presenter and radio queen Adelle Onyango has been featured by CNN for her podcast series.
CNN praised Adelle's Legally Clueless podcasts, a programme that she launched after quitting Kiss 100 FM in 2019 after a 7-year stint, terming it as a creative and educational initiative.
"Her legally Clueless podcast attracts millions of listeners worldwide. It was inspired by a period she left her high profile job in Radio," part of the CNN feature stated.
In her podcasts, she focuses on issues such as sexuality, relationships and other topics affecting the youth. Currently, the podcast has amassed viewers across the globe including Ghana, Rwanda, South Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Adelle said that the podcast is meant to cater to those who struggled with transitioning from the job space to an entrepreneurial venture.
"I was wondering if I am the only one who is going through these monumental spaces in life where you are transitioning from a job and trying to figure out what's next, so that's how it started.
"I also realised that I don't have a monopoly over life experiences hence I sought to bring my friends and a few guests on my podcast to help share their narrative," she stated.
Adelle launched her podcast in March 2019 and leaving mainstream radio in June 2019, citing frustrations over the lack of dynamism in local radio.
"I bought my microphones, transformed part of my home into a working studio... but I had no idea what I was doing,” she stated in a past interview.
The former radio queen has been hailed as a strong voice in the country's social sphere, having previously been featured in the BBC Top 100 Women in 2017, featured by French publication Le Point and also the OkayAfrica Magazine top 100 Women in 2018.
