Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu was accorded a VIP treatment upon landing in Kenya aboard Air Tanzania on Tuesday, May 4 for a two-day state visit

This was the first visit of a Tanzania President to Kenya since 2016 when the late John Pombe Magufuli toured for two days.

Suluhu has a preference for female bodyguards and The Kenya Defence Forces stated that they will accord her a Kenyan aide in courtesy. The aide will temporarily relieve her Tanzania counterpart from her duties during Suluhu's visit.

Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta honoured Suluhu with 21 gun salute at State House. Prior to that, he sent a motorcade consisting of presidential escort unit vehicles and riders to accompany her.

Among the vehicles were:

Two Toyota V8

The car has been one of Uhuru's favourite cars since 2013. The armoured Japanese-made car is also known as the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 series.

Suluhu boarded a black V8 with a Tanzanian flag while a white V8 followed closely behind. The cars cost between Ksh 12 - 14 million.

Subaru Outback Sport

The Subaru Impreza Outback Sport is a hatchback. Inventory prices for the 2011 Impreza Outback Sport.

Camera personnel rode on top of the SUV built for adventures to capture Suluhu’s visit.

Mercedes Benz S-class

The German automobile offers the first-class comfort with high-tech features, beautifully tailored and delightfully serene interior and rear-axle steering. It has a 3D gauge cluster, a massive OLED touchscreen, rear-wheel steering for better manoeuvrability, and an active air suspension that makes cornering smoother.

It also comprises a pair of turbocharged powertrains and standard all-wheel drive. Uhuru unveiled one of these makes on November 10, 2020, during a tour in Nairobi.

This is a large, practical, posh van-based car with an affordable room for a number of passengers. The loading area can also be used to carry commodities.

The row between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto was visible during the state visit. Ruto was at a meeting with Rev. Daniel Lotuno of AIC Ilmasin, Kiserian and other clerics in Kajiado County. His office yet again accused the government of sidelining him.
