Orange Democratic Party Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna dismissed claims by NASA Co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) that the Raila Odinga led party owes its affiliates money.

Speaking during an interview on Jalang'o TV on Thursday, July 15, Sifuna explained that ODM only receives Ksh11,000 from the political party's fund which they will gladly share with their co-partners.

Sifuna threw jibes at Kalonzo, who he claimed does not answer his calls. The ODM SG further called on the three parties to send him their paybill numbers for him to send their share which is less than Ksh3,000.

He explained that the only money ODM would have shared with Wiper, Ford Kenya and ANC would be from the presidential election since all parties in the NASA coalition fronted candidates in other categories.

The four parties' funds were to share the presidential money, but the Supreme Court nullified the election which NASA chose not to participate in.

"When the repeat presidential election was held Raila got 18,000 votes so we only get Ksh11,000. Wiper, Ford Kenya and ANC should send me their till number so that I send them this money. I will send Kalonzo Ksh2,500 and Wetangula Ksh2,500," he stated.

Sifuna called out the three coalition partners over their remarks in recent times. He noted that leaders allied to Kalonzo have been disrespecting Raila, which shows no friendship in NASA.

The three NASA principals renewed their vicious battle with ODM over the political party’s funds as they finalize the paperwork to end the coalition.

They resolved to submit the papers that will see the end of NASA which sponsored Raila Odinga as their Presidential candidate in the 2017 General elections.

Mudavadi stated that a technical team has been working on the issue that will see NASA's collapse. He added that they were filing details before formally submitting the letter of withdrawal to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP).

The three Principals have also vowed to renew the legal battle with ODM over the political party’s funds.

Wetangula has declared that after the coalition is dissolved they will compel ODM to account for every shilling disbursed to the joint account by the exchequer.
