Narc Kenya leader, Martha Karua, The Service Party leader, Mwangi Kiunjuri and Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, have revealed the mission of their new unity.

Speaking during a presser on Thursday, August 12, the three leaders declared that they would prioritise the region's interests just like other leaders were doing.

The trio announced that they would form an inter-parties forum for Mt Kenya to take the region to the negotiating table.

They revealed that they would name the caucus "Limuru 3" and hold a conference in three months. Kiunjuri stated that the forum would invite different political parties.

Notably, the leaders dismissed calls to disband their parties and join one political party. The former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary maintained that his party would be on the ballot come 2022.

"We as TSP, are very clear that we will be on the ballot in 2022. The same way Narc Kenya and Chama Cha Kazi will be there. There is no question about it, we have made it very clear," Kiunjuri declared.

Kiunjuri on Sunday, August 8, differed with Deputy President, William Ruto, over the DP's 2022 strategy. He faulted Ruto for insinuating that he did not need coalitions ahead of the August 2022 poll.

The former Agriculture CS dismissed the Deputy President's plan to make the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) a national party that would win the 2022 election without relying on regional parties.

Moses Kuria on his part stated that the mission is to create a party that would outlive them. He noted that the interests of Mt Kenya would be paramount and at the same time took shots at President Uhuru Kenyatta's meeting with opposition leaders in Mombasa.

The MP pointed out that no leader from Mt Kenya was invited to the meeting and other regions in the country. He also noted that he did not attend the Karen meeting with UDA allies since he is not a member of the party.

Karua also dismissed questions on who she will work with and also noted that the caucus is not about creating a spokesperson for Mt Kenya.
