Willis Raburu Opens up on Struggling With Studies While Working

Media personality Willis Raburu has opened up about struggling with studies while working.

The Citizen TV presenter and show host shared a photo of him attending an online class hours after leaving office on Monday, September 20.

In the caption, Raburu revealed that he was pursuing a Master's Degree in Strategic Corporate Communications at a local university. In the image, he noted that he was attending an evening class after a long day at work.

He admitted that studying while working, particularly doing a Master's degree, was not a walk in the park and that it demanded a lot.

"Catching up with school. Being a Master's student requires some extra effort and balance," he reiterated.

 

However, he stated that he was getting the hang of it and was determined to complete his master's degree within the stipulated timelines.

Raburu graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Moi University in 2010. He joined Royal Media Services LTD in October 2011 and has served in several capacities since then.

He worked as a reporter, a radio presenter, a TV presenter and host,digital journalist and a creative.

Popularly known for his 'Wabebe' slogan, Raburu hosts 'Day Break', a daily morning show. He also hosts the 10Over10 show, which airs every Friday on Citizen TV and a mid-morning show at Hot 96 FM.

Raburu adds to the ever-growing list of media personalities who have been juggling between work and studies.

KISS 100 show host, Felix Oiduwor alias Jalang'o, pursued a degree while still hosting his morning show. In 2020, he graduated with a degree in Community Development from Daystar University.
