An ugly scene emerged on Friday, October 8, after the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) political party was accussed of trespassing during a rally in Kajiado.

Among those in attendance, was The Deputy President who was being hosted by Kajiado East Member of Parliament, Peris Tobiko at her matrimonial home.

The DPs presence together with his large number of followers caused a feud in the family after Tobiko’s husband, Kishanto Ole Suuji, demanded the meeting to be halted.

Suuji instructed the security guards stop the meeting since he as the homeowner did not give the UDA officials a go-ahead.

In his argument, furious Suuji mentioned that despite being the legal homeowner, he had not learnt about the meeting until Thursday evening, October 7.

“Im not with those people who enter into someone's home without asking and without the owner's consent. Peris Tobiko invited them, but it is my land which I bought by myself,” Suuji remarked.

However, the security officers denied him access into the meeting, saying that it was too late and disrupting the meeting would cause unnecessary drama.

Tobiko’s husband then made the decision to go report the incident at Isinya Police Station.

Speaking to the media, Suuji insisted that he is not part of UDA politics, and cannot allow such political moves to be held in his home.

The civil servant said that he felt his wife had really embarrassed him by allowing Ruto to hold the meeting at their matrimonial home.

"They did not ask me and this is something bad that I hate. I hate people coming to politicize in the center of my land,” Suuji added.

Peris Tobiko has been an active supporter of Jubilee and the handshake until a week ago where she announced that she would be hosting the DP at her home.

She is currently an aspirant for the Kajiado gubernatorial seat.
