KRA Announces Paid Internships for Fresh Graduates: How to Apply

Diploma and Degree graduates with no work experience can now sigh with relief after Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announced internship opportunities.

In a notice dated Wednesday, November 10, the Authority launched a drive for degree and diploma graduates for its January to December 2022 Internship programme.

The new recruits will receive a monthly stipend during the programme expected to last for 12 months between January and December 2022.

"The program aims at providing the youth with an opportunity for on-the-job experience to build upon skills acquired at school and enhance their employability," read the statement in part.

All applicants are expected to be Kenyan citizens aged between 20 and 25 years and must have graduated with a first degree (undergraduate) or Diploma from a recognized institution between January 2021 and December 2021.

The programme also strictly seeks to hire individuals who have not undertaken any other internship or exposed themselves to work experience in their area of specialization, after graduation.

The successful applicants, who must be available to work for 12 months, will be distributed in various departments within the organisation, including Finance/Accounting, Economics/Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource, Marketing and Communications.

Others are Library & Information Science, Records Management, ICT, Hospitality, Security/Criminology, Project Management, Chemistry/Analytical/Industrial Chemistry, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Counselling Psychology and Disaster Management.

All interested individuals must make their applications via the online e-recruitment portal after successful registering. The application process will run till Sunday, November 21, 2021.

Once on the platform, candidates should fill up their application profile.

Under the heading, ‘Job Search’ click the ‘Start’ button to view all available vacancies.

Click on the Job posting to display the details of the position.

To apply for the position, click ‘Apply’ button at the top of the page.

Follow the instructions to complete and submit your application.

To complete the process of application, click the ‘Send Application Now’ button after reviewing and accepting the ‘Data Privacy Statement’.
