"With Ahmednassir as the chief guest, we today fundraised for Masjid Jamia and Islamic Centre in Rhamu, Mandera North. Alhamdulilah, we managed to raise a total of Ksh 36 million. Asante (Thank you) SC and all the participants," celebrated Roba.

"From raising millions for a Northern Kenya political party to raising over 36Million to a mosque in Mandera today, SC Ahmednassir is truly a leader.

"You don’t have to be elected to be a leader. The Grand Mullah is an epitome of what hard work, dedication and discipline means," added businessman Ahmed Mohammed, popularly Asmali.

This comes just two weeks after the Senior Counsel helped United Democratic Movement Party (UDM), a party headed by Roba, previously belonging to DP William Ruto, raise Ksh34 million.

On October 31, the party had scheduled a fundraiser event that took place at a high-end hotel in Nairobi.

The event which was hosted by Roba had invited guests among which Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi was the Guest of Honour.

Separately, another team from Wajir County surpassed their target after raising Ksh31 million during a meeting at Nairobi's Serena Hotel.

The money was aimed at constructing the Al-Fatah Islamic Institute which is in its finishing stages.

The event, which had initially set out to raise Ksh20 million, was attended by Treasury CS Ukur Yattani, Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi, among other leaders.
