Private detective Jane Mugo is now appealing for financial help from Kenyans after a near-death beating by unknown people.

Taking to her official Facebook page and through a video, the spy queen - famed for her theatrics - pleaded with Kenyans to help her raise funds to cover her pending medical bills.

''Good evening my fellow patriotic Kenyans. On behalf of my family, I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for the prayers, concerns, and the solidarity you have shown, especially my followers and the medics who have been taking care of me during this darkest moment of my life.

"I was admitted to the hospital after sustaining head injuries and fractures on the hands during a carjacking incident at Burnt Forest area in Uasin Gishu County on Thursday night, November 25,'' she wrote.

She further informed the public that she had undergone several minor surgeries, adding that she was still recuperating from the hospital bed.

''I have undergone several emergency surgeries to stabilize my condition and I am now fully conscious but still under medical observation.''

The private investigator stated that her family had tried raising funds to cater for her medical bills which have since hit a six figure.

''My family has been gathering funds to pay for the hospital bill which has already hit six figures as of today.''

She went ahead to ask for donations, urging Kenyans to help her settle the bill.

''I am humbly asking for any of your support to my fundraising campaign for medical treatment since my card can only pay part of the bill. Any donations would be greatly appreciated," she added.

Speaking from the hospital, she additionally claimed that she was still receiving threats from unknown individuals just a week after the carjacking attempt.

According to an initial police report, Mugo claimed that her abductors blocked her vehicle using another vehicle and proceeded to inflict injuries on her face and hands using a machete.

Mugo had recently declared interest in vying for the Kirinyaga Woman Representative seat in the upcoming General Election.
