Kenyan Destination Named Third  Most Photographable in Africa

A  tourist destination in Kenya has been named Africa's third most photographable destination.

The Maasai Mara was became runners-up in the latest ranking by Big 7 Travel dubbed Top Most Instagrammable Places in the world.

Globally, the game reserve was ranked position 35.

"Multiple agents suggest tourists take a 10-day adventure to really soak up the grandeur of the national treasure," read in part the report.

Among the most attractive features of the Mara was the spectacular wildebeest migration and the spectacular views of the park as seen from hot-air balloon safaris.

The ranking is released every year and is based on the tally of the number of Instagram hashtags per destinations combine with a survey of its users.

However, the final list is selected based on a destination's visual attraction and social media popularity.

Cape Town was ranked top in Africa and was followed by Marrakech in Morocco. The two countries emerged positions 22 and 33 internationally.

South Africa's legislative capital was described as a location with dramatic scenery, spectacular ocean views and pink neighbourhoods.

On the other hand, Marrakech was feted for its buildings, palaces, marketplaces and the "red" city. 

Among the popular features of the town are the cobblestone alleyways in the Medina which hosts bathhouse and markets.

Other countries on the list include Nice in France, Ibiza in Spain, Phuket in Thailand and Maritimes.
