Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has revealed the missing piece in the political puzzle that is needed for the Kenya Kwanza alliance to form the next government.
Wetangula pointed out that the Kenya Kwanza alliance is incomplete without his former OKA counterpart and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka- a formidable force in the Eastern region.
The FORD-Kenya boss noted that they had unfinished business with his former political ally and friend, inviting him to cross to the other side of the political divide.
"We are incomplete without him so it is mutual because nobody can deny that he is my best political friend in Kenya and I’m his best political friend. He was pulled by the boss to where he is. I am in no doubt that he is in some certain degree of discomfort,” the legislator spoke to NTV.
Alluding to the frosty relationship between him and ODM party leader Raila Odinga, Wetangula pointed out to a breach of trust that led to irreparable differences and messy fallout.
“With Raila and I, we crossed the Rubicon…and no Roman soldier crossed the Rubicon and came back," he asserted.
Wetangula's response came after Kalonzo had tried to woo his former NASA counterpart to reunite and join the Azimio la Umoja ship being steered by Odinga.
The Senator however, turned down the offer, exuding confidence that the Kenya Kwanza regime would form the next government after the August polls.
"I cannot go back, he is my friend I don’t want to engage him, but I am very happy where I am. We’re going to win the elections and the signs are everywhere you can see," Wetangula stated.
Initially, Kalonzo had expressed his wish to reunite with Wetangula, courting him to let bygones be bygones and reconcile with the former Prime Minister.
"Weta is my friend and brother. I would be elated if he would join me. We talk with him but we have not formally engaged. If we do, it will be a good thing. Now that you have given me the thought, I think I will pursue him,” Kalonzo recently stated.
