Drama erupted at Kisukioni examination container in Machakos County where Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) papers were being stored after a female cop turned up drunk and disorderly before attacking two of her colleagues.
According to a police report seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the officer was reported to have arrived at the exams storage centre around 0600hrs, hurling insults at the two colleagues.
Upon inquiry, the female cop stated that she had left the container to have a meal. After dropping her gun on the ground, her colleagues noticed that her magazine was missing.
The officers immediately inquired about the magazine, demanding that she hands it over.
However, the cop turned unruly and continued to hurl insults at her colleagues daring them to try and retrieve the magazine from her. The commotion turned into a violent altercation.
"Officer A picked her rifle which had fallen on the ground but without its magazine. She resisted handing over the magazine which prompted officer B and another officer to disarm her by force.
"She started abusing and kicking them and throwing blows, assaulting them and becoming totally disorderly," read the police report in part.
Upon overpowering the disorderly cop, the two officers then informed their superior who proceeded to the scene and the drunk cop was booked in.
The National Police Service (NPS) stated that it will take administrative action against the officer even as investigations into the matter continue.
"They managed to overpower her and was arrested and escorted to Tala police station and placed in custody to contain her accordingly.
"An officer replaced her and the exam container is well guarded and no cause for alarm. Further administrative action to follow," the police stated.
However, according to an insider who spoke to Kenyans.co.ke, officers at the station are displeased with their colleague's actions with some of them demanding that she be transferred.
