Citizen TV anchor Lulu Hassan has commended, Ryan Mwenda, the young actor who posted impressive results in the recently concluded Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCPE) exams.
Mwenda starred as Zimba in the popular drama series, Zora which ended in early March 2022.
The actor posted on his social media pages that he scored straight As in Mathematics, English, Social Studies and Religious Education and a B+ in Kiswahili.
He, however, did not share the actual marks he garnered.
“God has done it again my people...Straight As one B+ in Kiswahili. Glory and honour to you my God. Wacha Mungu aitwe Mungu. Mungu mbele.
(Let God be God. In everything, God comes first),” he captioned a celebration video with Nigerian star, Ada Ehi’s song Congratulations.
“Congratulations,” Lulu wrote.
“Wooow! Congratulations Simba,” Neema Sulubu, his former co-actor at Zora added.
Mwenda sat the national exams at Riara Springs Academy.
The teenager is also an orator and upcoming emcee.
Other than Zora, he is famous for making cameo appearances on Churchill and other entertainment shows.
In 2020, he was the face of a public advert that rallied Kenyans to adhere to measures outlined by the Ministry of Health to curb the pandemic.
Four years earlier, he addressed Jubilee party supporters during the party’s manifesto launch.
