The campaign of Linet Chepkorir, famously known as Toto, has received a shot in the arm after she went viral for winning the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket for the Bomet Woman Representative seat.

In a statement dated Wednesday, April 20, Bomet Governor, Hillary Barchok, announced that he will help the 24-year-old in her campaign following her inspiring story.

The governor promised her a brand new car to facilitate her movement as she traverses the county ahead of the August polls.

“Hers is a story of resilience and believing in your dreams. She's the true personification of Bottom-Up," Barchok wrote.

Toto will also receive personnel at her Chemalul home to attend to the growing number of visitors, and prepare for the upcoming thanksgiving ceremony.

“Further to that, I shall sponsor her homecoming celebrations this Sunday at her Chemamul home. She has asked me to extend her invitation to you all,” the Governor stated.

This as Governor Barchok led UDA nominees in Bomet county for thanksgiving roadshows which will culminate in a grand event at Toto’s family home.

The roadshow will cover Mulot, Longisa, Kapkwen, Chebole, Kaplong, Boito, Ngererit, Mogogosiek among other areas.

Barchok urged the residents to adopt a six-piece voting pattern in the upcoming elections vouching for the UDA senatorial nominee and Nairobi-based lawyer Hillary Sigei.

“The UDA Party, having its strength and might in Bomet County, is our party of choice as the people of Bomet. As the August General Elections beckons, we are determined to consolidate our votes and seats to our 5th president, H.E William Samoei Ruto and the UDA Party, respectively,” he emphasized.

Barchok took over after the demise of Bomet’s second Governor Dr Joyce Laboso who succumbed to cancer.

cut-throat gubernatorial race is anticipated in the county between the incumbent and the first Governor Isaac Ruto who is vying on his Chama cha Mashinani Party, with the hope of making a political comeback.
