The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced that it is seeking influencers to advance its agenda.

The authority published a notice on Tuesday, June 7, indicating that it was inviting bids for the provision of digital media and influencer services from qualified individuals.

EPRA further indicated that the tenders applications were open for all qualified Kenyans until Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

"The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is a state corporation established under the Energy Act, 2019. The authority is the energy sector regulatory agency responsible for economic and technical regulation of electric power, renewable energy, petroleum and coal subsectors.

"The authority invites bids from eligible firms for the Digital Media and Influencer Services tender number EPRA/SCM/4/3/21-22/110 closing on June 15, 2022," read the announcement.

Interested applicants are advised to seek tender documents from EPRA's official website or through the Public Procurement Information Portal at tenders.go.ke.

Prior to embarking on the process, it is, however, important for interested applicants to research the requirements before bids are made.

As per a previously advertised post by the authority, applicants should be ready to part with Ksh1,000 non-refundable fee cash or Banker’s Cheque to obtain the complete set of tender documents.

Those who opt to download the document from the site, should immediately advise the EPRA that they have downloaded the tender documents, giving full contact addresses of the tenderer including the name of tenderer, email, telephone number and postal address.

When submitting the tenders, applicants should also accompany the documents with tender security amounting to Ksh100,000.

"The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize/paginate all pages of the tender documents submitted," reads the directive in part.

The tenders will also be publicly opened after the deadline and the tendering process will be conducted under open competitive method using a standardized tender document.

The new job offering is a big step for Kenyan influencers, a job that had been widely underrated and only attracted meager pay.
