Tiktok star Ian Asunya famously known as Nduru man recounted his ordeal after pulling a stunt at one of the State House gates asking President Uhuru Kenyatta to offer him a loan to start a business.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, July 9, Nduru man detailed that after screaming at State House on July 29, General Services Unit (GSU) officers manning the premises detained him for questioning.

The TikTok star who makes deliveries in Nairobi explained that he was let free by the GSU officers after learning of his intentions. He was grilled by a senior officer at a secluded place.

"I had made a delivery then decided to record that video. I record for a while before the officers manning the gate rushed and apprehended me," he stated.

"I usually walk around with my good conduct certificate so the senior officer just checked it and allowed me to leave after ascertaining that I am a law abiding citizen," he added.

After one hour of interrogation, he disclosed that the security officers deleted the video from his phone but he was able to recover it and later shared it on his social media platforms.

However, the content creator revealed that screaming at State House was not scripted. He wanted to have an audience with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and share with him his business idea.

"That was not a script neither was it acting. I saw that as an opportunity to reach out to the President after I made some deliveries along that State House route," he remarked.

He first went viral following his video of screaming in Nairobi Central District (CBD). He capitalised on the reception he received to build on his fanbase and establish himself as a content creator.

Right now he enjoys a huge following across the country. He has screamed in different places including police stations, supermarkets and while walking on the streets.

Other than Asunya, Azziad Nasenya found his big break through recording Tiktok videos. Right now she is an established brand working as a presenter at Sound City radio.

Joe Nyokabi, the Tiktok comedian behind the popular Martha Karua impression Asimio Haroo! also landed life-changing deal.

On June 28, Pancras Karema, the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Expedition Masai Safaris noted that the company had entered into a season-long contract with the comedian.

He divulged that Nyokabi is a talented young Kenyan who managed to capture the attention of Kenyans as the campaign season hits fever pitch.

"We have given him a contract. We thrive in research and marketing through trends. When this guy came up and we saw that whatever he was doing was sensational, we offered him a deal and now we are working with him.

"We have just started the partnership which will last this season that is roughly three months," stated Karema.
