The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson, Wafula Chebukati, is set to announce the official presidential results of the just concluded August 9 polls after completion of verification of Forms 34A and 34B.

Roots Party presidential candidate, George Wajackoyah, and his Agano Party counterpart David Mwaure have already arrived at the Bomas of Kenya ahead of the 3pm announcement.

Additionally, leaders allied to the two main contenders - Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga  thronged the National Tallying Center in anticipation of the declaration by Chebukati.

The anticipated announcement has also seen supporters of the candidates take to the streets to celebrate Raila's anticipated win. Kondele in Kisumu became a bee hive of activities with supporters of Raila in celebration.

On the other hand, Uasin Gishu residents took to the streets of Eldoret to celebrate the anticipated win of Ruto who hails from the county.
