The Supreme Court on Tuesday, August 30, began the pre-trial conference for the presidential election petition challenging president-elect, William Ruto's victory.
The seven-judge bench led by Chief Justice, Martha Koome will listen to the lawyers of the petitions to establish issues of consensus and of dispute.
The Supreme Court will then issue orders to ensure parties comply with the proceedings. The bench will allocate time to each party to address the court during the hearing of the petition.
The apex court comprises CJ Koome and her deputy Philomena Mwilu, Smokin Wanjala, Njoki Ndung'u, Isaac Lenaola, William Ouko and Mohamed Ibrahim.
