Commuters plying the Nairobi CBD to Kabiria area route have a chance to catch free rides after Super Metro Sacco announced complimentary free rides.

In a statement on Monday, September 12, the Sacco announced that it launched a fleet of matatus to offer transport services across the new route in Dagoretti.

The passengers would enjoy free rides from morning to evening as the company cements its place on the route.

"Free rides alert. Today we have commenced a new Route from Kabiria to Commercial. Our main aim is to serve you better as we add new fleet.

"Thank you all for you suggestions, comments and ours is to honour your request because you are our boss. Stay safe and be blessed," read the notice in part.

The route typically costs Ksh100 per commute during high-peak hours while ride-hailing applications charge northwards of Ksh500 per trip.

Stops along the route include Coptic Hospital, Prestige Mall, Adams Arcade, Junction Mall, Corner, Wanyee, Satelite and Kabiria.

Super Metro has been on a rapid expansion plan across the city expanding its serviceable routes while setting up a special long-distance travel department.

On August 1, the Sacco announced new routes during rush hours in a bid to stamp its growing dominance and better service delivery.

The new route introduced fleets that ply from Ngong to Westlands and Malaa to Westlands. The changes took place beginning Monday, August 1 from 6-8 am and from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Further, the Sacco had unveiled a new fleet that would serve Juja Farm residents heading to the Central Business District (Nairobi) every day beginning 5:00 am.

Super Metro is often acclaimed for its service delivery, essentially creating a niche for customers to delight in. A spot check every evening at Kenya National Archives captures long queues as passengers jostle to board its buses.
