Royal Media Services (RMS) managers underwent a 3-day training for all radio heads for the 13 broadcasting stations the media enterprise owns.

The training, conducted by the Voice of America (VoA), was aimed at refining the managerial skills needed in the digital broadcasting era.

In a report by Citizen TV, the journalists lauded the move and noted that the training came in handy due to the evolving nature of the broadcasting industry.

"The industry of journalism keeps changing every day hence we have to keep up with the current times," a Citizen TV journalist intimated.

"We have learnt how to perfect our craft in the broadcasting industry as well as equipping ourselves with management skills vital in the newsroom," he added.

One of the VoA officials affirmed that the skills were vital to enhance their managerial skills and set them apart from their competitors in the digital industry.

"The training was aimed at improving their management styles and gives them the time and space to take them out of the hectic broadcast stations and discuss and debate and offer a different perspective to allow them to become excellent managers."
