Azimio supporters and apologists have been put on notice by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Kenya Kwanza lieutenants after several former Principal Secretaries made the list of 585 Candidates shortlisted by the Public Service Commission.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday, October 9 while speaking during a thanksgiving service in Uasin Gishu County warned Azimio supporters eyeing jobs in the government stating that they will reward Kenya Kwanza loyalists first before newcomers.

"I want to say thank you to Wetangula, the people of Bungoma and Trans-Nzoia, your votes helped us a lot. Thank you very much our speaker.

Others want to reap where they did not sow, those who sowed should reap first. When we are done with all those who sow, those who didn't should take what is left and then we move forward,” Gachagua stated.

Gachagua's sentiments comes after several outgoing Principal Secretaries  made the list. Some of the former PS who served in the last administration and made the list are Dr Julius Jwan (Education),  Saitoti Torome (Planning),  and Francis Owino (Agriculture)

Others are Jerome Ochieng (ICT and Innovation), Charles Hinga (Housing), Margaret Mwakimu (TVET), Nelson Marwa (Social Protection),  Fatuma Chege (Education) and Raymond Ochieng Ouma, Secretary for Youth Affairs among others.

The Second in command also stated that new entrants in Kenya Kwanza will have to wait despite signing post-election agreements with the ruling coalition. Some of the politicians including former Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, Jack Ranguma and former Kisii Governor James Ongwae may have to wait longer before being invited to the table for a feast.

On the other hand, Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, a close ally of Ruto, taking to his social media account has also come out to claim that Azimio apologists who did not believe in Ruto’s presidency must remain in opposition and should not be welcomed in government.

He further called out the leaders for their loyalty, stating that the government should not recycle them. Cheraegei further stated that loyalty to the President must be absolute to serve the government and Kenyans

“On the shortlisted PSs have seen some Azimio-OKA apologists who didn't believe in H.E Ruto Presidency & insulted him, let them remain in opposition not to sabotage our God-given govt & no recycling. Loyalty to Ruto must be absolute to serve govt & Kenyans,”  Cherargei stated.

The President has already made good on his promise by rewarding key loyalists in the Cabinet and even outlining the functions of both the Deputy President and Prime Cabinet Secretary.
