Sheila Sendeyo has quit NTV after 11 years as a news producer and editor.

In her goodbye letter to the team, Sendeyo reminisced about the memories she made at Nation Media Group (NMG) in her decade of service.

"I cannot believe how quickly the days melted into 11 years, But as my time at NTV winds down, I can't help but help reflect on all the awesome people I have had the pleasure of working with over the years," she stated.

The journalist worked alongside notable journalists, CNN's Larry Madowo, Citizen TV's Victoria Rubadiri and Trevor Ombija, among others.

"Thank you for sharing the wins, the losses, the triumphs, and the trials. While we may no longer be colleagues, we part as friends," she added.

Sendeyo joined NMG in 2012. Over the years, she was recognised for her exceptional environmental reporting

"I leave with fond memories. It’s been a pleasure knowing and working with you all.

"My very best to each of you," she signed off her goodbye message to her colleagues.

She, however, did not disclose her next move after her exit, whether she had received another job offer or was taking a break.

Sendero, before joining NTV was a reporter at Royal Media Services (RMS) for nearly three years, from 2008 to 2011.

Her exit came after several journalists joined the media house. Among them were Ben Kitili and Duncan Khaemba from KTN and Joe Ageyo and Bernard Ndong from Citizen TV

Others were former KTN business reporter, Brian George Otieno, and Swahili anchor, Lofty Matambo.

"Sorry I forgot to mention. It's been exactly a month now since August 15 when I started a new job as a broadcast journalist at NTV. Here's to being intentional," Otieno announced in September 2022.
