Partakilat Primary School sits in the heart of the Siria Escarpment of the Great Rift Valley and educates children from pre-primary to Grade 7.

The Primary school is located a few kilometres from  Kenya’s luxury safari lodge, Angama Mara which has close to 200 students.

The event came a few days after a photo of President Uhuru Kenyatta surfaced online while exiting a Hotel in Narok County.

The school is mainly supported by funding which is raised in nightly contributions to the Foundation Angama Mara.

Since its launch in 2015, the Angama Foundation has built three classrooms, student ablution facilities as well as teachers’ accommodation and ablution facilities at Partakilat primary school.

The foundation has also been fortunate enough to partner with additional projects at Partakilat with guests and other Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) wanting to make a difference in the school and the community around the school.

The former president who is currently on retirement has kept a low profile since he handed over power to his successor President William Ruto.

Uhuru was at the forefront of supporting Competency-Based- Curriculum Education. He once stated that the new education system is best positioned to handle the country's employment difficulties and that it was one of his government's top priorities.

According to the former president, CBC aimed to prepare the country to develop respectable and satisfying work.

Additionally, one of his greatest successes was the launch of the CBC, with the pioneer class set to join Junior Secondary School in January 2023.
