Media personality Lindah Oguttu on Thursday, November 10, rattled Kenyans online after she made remarks touching on the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The former KTN News anchor suggested via her social media that the DP needed an indepth lesson reminding him that the campaign period already ended and that he (and President William Ruto) won the election.

Someone needs to take the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya to a quiet room, slowly explain to him that they won the elections and that the campaign time is over.

"They need to emphasize that Kenyans now look up to him as well as the government to move the country forward and make it better for all of us,” she remarked.

Her remarks divided the internet with some individuals taking the media personality's side while others supported the DP.

“We will celebrate till 2027. You should tell Martha Karua and (her team) team to accept that Ruto is the President and Riggy G (as the DP is popularly referred to) is the DP,” posed Propesa.

“Let him express himself... The agony and pain he went through is still traumatizing,” added another Twitter user.

“10 goods steps Ruto makes, Riggy G brings 9 down. Very useless,” Kirwa Ruto authoritatively stated in support of Oguttu.

“What do you expect from politicians? Politics is part of their life. They have to do politics so that they remain active,” Kipsang Patrick uttered.

“Sometimes I do feel like he is on assignment. To execute the role of complaining and pointing fingers,” Brenda Adhiambo noted.

Oguttu’s remarks came after the DP delivered a speech during the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Annual General Meeting in Nairobi. He made fun of the opposition wondering whether they would be punctual like he was.

“Even if you believed that we are useless, would those telling you this have woken up early to attend this KNCCI AGM forum?” posed Gachagua.

The DP went further praised Trade CS Moses Kuria's achievement's explaining that the former Gatundu South MP was underused during Uhuru Kenyatta's regime.

“Moses Kuria was misunderstood. He had too much energy and nobody was using him so he had to do other things to keep himself busy. President Ruto has now deployed him appropriately,” the DP added.

The DP’s dramatic speeches began during the inauguration ceremony at Kasarani after the duo was sworn in.

Gachagua stood at the lectern and went gloves off at the outgoing President and his government claiming that the country was "finally free" and it finally became "a democratic country."

"I want to thank the people of Kenya for their resilience and determination for rejecting intimidation as well as coercion. The will of the people is supreme in this republic," he disclosed.

Ever since, the DP regularly makes off the cuff remarks loaded with a jibe directed at the country's opposition and its leaders.
