Kenyans.co.ke reached out to the office of the governor on the details about his friend who died of stab wounds but the governor's office had not responded at the time of publishing.

While expressing his concern about the engagement of boda boda operators in crime, Sakaja urged parents to counsel their youth against engaging in crime as the law would inevitably catch up with them.

The Nairobi governor laid out an elaborate plan that he hopes will help deal with the rising cases of youths engaging in crime in the City.

"I will meet with the Inspector General of Police tomorrow so that we come up with a solution to this crime issue in Nairobi,"  Sakaja revealed.

Furthermore, the governor outlined a range of projects by the county government that would see youths take up meaningful jobs across the county.

Among the plans the county government is rolling out include 2,500 job opportunities for youths to clean the city and the completion of the Dandora stadium that will see more youths engage in sporting activities.

Sakaja also challenged boda Boda operators to form transport cooperatives and have each group allocated specific stages to pick, drop and wait for passengers.

“We are ready to support organized youth with many opportunities of business but crime is a big no. This is where we part ways. Mugging and stabbing people must stop," Sakaja indicated.

The governor vowed that the county government will play its role to support the police in maintaining security across the city county.
