“On Monday I will issue Ksh1 million to your leaders so that we finish the project. We have already sent officers here, and we will work to ensure that this region has enough officers to restore security,” he stated.

Further, Kindiki ordered the two parties to respect each other's right to own property and uphold the rule of law. He warned against retaliation which he stated would only aggravate the matter.

Kindiki added that the rains would solve the problem of lack of pasture hence the continued conflict inflicted by visiting herders was not justified.

“No one has permission to graze their livestock wherever they want without the consent of the owners of those fields. All the grazers and herds people must leave this place before we get to them,” Kindiki stated.

This came following the death of two locals in the conflict involving locals and the herders. Two people were confirmed to have lost their lives in the dispute attributed to the drought experienced in parts of Kenya.

Kindiki reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing security in all parts of Kenya regardless of political inclinations. According to Kindiki, President William Ruto's government was keen on realizing development which would only be achieved in a peaceful environment.

“The elections are over, and we are going to provide services indiscriminately regardless of the voting patterns of any part of this country," Kindiki added.
